Welcome to our Pack!

Cub Scout Pack 199

Pack 199 is located in Oldwick, New Jersey and is part of the Hunterdon Arrowhead District and Washington Crossing Council.

Our meetings are generally held the third Friday of every month at 7:00pm at the Tewksbury Elementary School on 109 Fairmont Road East (as long as school is in session). See the Pack Calendar for the next pack meeting date.

Scouting is an excellent way to make new friends, learn something new and have fun. When's the last time you went camping, hiked a nature trail, acted in a skit or got to do something out of the ordinary? If you are interested in seeing what it's all about, use the Contact Us link at left or better yet, stop by one of our meetings. We would be happy to show you around.

For older boys who have come to this website, the Boy Scouts program is available to those who are 11 through 17 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Visit the BSA Troop 199 website for additional information.

Cub Scout Blue & Gold / Arrow of Light Banquet 2018

Posted by apatykula on Feb 17 2018 - 10:33pm

What is our Blue and Gold Banquet?
Pack 199 celebrates Scouting Anniversary Week in February with a "birthday party" called the Blue and Gold banquet. This is the anniversary month of the Boy Scouts of America, which was organized in February 1910. The Cub Scouts was organized 20 years later in 1930. This night is the highlight of the year - it brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer.

The purpose of the Blue and Gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, scouts, and parents. The younger scouts receive awards for their achievements the past year. The Webelos II scouts receive their Arrow of Light and "bridge" their path to becoming a Boy Scout. Also, former pack members and other scouting and community leaders normally take part in our Blue and Gold banquet.

Congratulations to Pack 199's 2018 Pinewood Derby Winners!

Reminder- Pine Wood Derby Clinic

Posted by apatykula on Jan 5 2018 - 8:32pm

“Its getting late early”-― Yogi Berra

The Pine Wood Derby (january 19th) is quickly approaching so get a jumpstart tomorrow (6th) at our PWD Clinic at OTS.  The Clinic entails veterans and newbies getting together to share tools and know-how to build their cars.  The Clinic starts at 2:00 and end roughly 5:00 so bring your blank wood block to make a racing masterpiece.  If you have some table top tools (band saw, scribe saw, sander, etc.) to share, please bring them along.  This is a great experience for Scouts and parents alike.
