Welcome to our Pack!

Cub Scout Pack 199

Pack 199 is located in Oldwick, New Jersey and is part of the Hunterdon Arrowhead District and Washington Crossing Council.

Our meetings are generally held the third Friday of every month at 7:00pm at the Tewksbury Elementary School on 109 Fairmont Road East (as long as school is in session). See the Pack Calendar for the next pack meeting date.

Scouting is an excellent way to make new friends, learn something new and have fun. When's the last time you went camping, hiked a nature trail, acted in a skit or got to do something out of the ordinary? If you are interested in seeing what it's all about, use the Contact Us link at left or better yet, stop by one of our meetings. We would be happy to show you around.

For older children who have come to this website, the Scouts program is available to those who are 11 through 17 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Visit the BSA Troop 199 website for additional information.

Planning for the End of the Apolcolypse

There is finally light at the end of the tunnel and we are expecting a return to Cub Scouting in the fall. We want to have a great program ready to go in September with fishing, hiking and camping!

Training for Leaders

Posted by rplummer on Apr 7 2021 - 8:00pm

Adult Leader Training:

In order for our Cub Scouts to have camping, the Pack needs to have 2 BALOO (Basic Adult Leadership Outdoor Orientation) trained leaders present. Once you do the overnight training, you are good for life! If you have multiple children in Cubs, please consider doing this training since you will hopefully be part of the pack for many years!

Update & Request for Den Leaders

Posted by rplummer on Mar 18 2021 - 7:18am

Dear Parents,

Almost a year has passed since COVID-19 came crashing down. I am writing to let you all know that Oldwick Pack 199 is still alive and well. Our AOL Den of 5th graders has been meeting weekly outdoors since September, in masks and distanced. We have hiked, shot off rockets, learned to light fires with flint & steel, and all the boys have been busy completing their requirements to cross over into Troop 199 in just a few weeks. Each boy will earn the Arrow of Light Rank.
